Although Kathie Lee loved living in Connecticut, the home she had shared with her family had turned into a reminder of sad times. Cody and Cassidy grew up and moved out of the house, and just a few years later, in 2015, Frank Gifford passed away at the age of 84. “That huge beautiful memory-filled home was like a morgue to me,” Kathie Lee told USA Today. For many years, Kathie Lee Gifford lived in Connecticut, where she shared a home with her husband, NFL Hall of Famer Frank Gifford and their two children, Cody and Cassidy. But these days, Katie Lee doesn’t live in Connecticut — the former Today star recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee. In a recent interview, Kathie Lee revealed the heartbreaking reason behind her move, as well as the happiness she’s found in Music City.

Gifford is now focused on writing music and directing — including her new film The Way , which accompanies her latest book The God of the Way . Gifford told Fox News Digital that the holiday also has special meaning because she makes all the dishes that her late mother, Joan Epstein, taught her to cook. Kathie Lee Gifford discusses the role her faith plays when it comes to celebrating Thanksgiving with her family, and wishes everyone a happy and safe holiday.

When it comes to her work, however, everything is happening in Nashville. After decades of making memorable morning TV, Gifford wants to make more of her own memories in Nashville, in music, and in movies. "Without having to be battling traffic into New York every day and battling all the stuff that goes with it after, oh, how many decades I did it. I've forgotten," she adds. "That, I knew I was done with, but I felt like my creative years were just beginning. I really did, especially once I started directing. That changed everything." With Regis and Kathie Lee co-host stepped out of the spotlight for a quieter pace of life — and she's found happiness in Nashville. "I pray that you'll be well-fed and that you might open up your table to somebody who maybe hasn't had a meal in a while or certainly hasn't been invited to a beautiful feast."

Frank Gifford was an NFL Hall of Famer who starred for the New York Giants in the 1950s and 1960s, then spent years as the play-by-play voice of "Monday Night Football." Widows Peak Pictures, LLC — Gifford's company — bought the home on Emily Court for $3.7 million, according to Williamson County property records. Deeds also showed she still owns another brownstone in the neighborhood, which she purchased in 2018.

After losing husband Frank Gifford at 84 in 2015, Gifford has welcomed love into her life again. She's in a new relationship, though she's keeping it entirely to herself. "I want to wish you all a blessed holiday. I pray that you're safe, you're happy, you're healthy." Gifford continued, "I've found in my life…if you start every day with prayer and end it with prayer and say prayers all day long, the Bible says pray without ceasing. And how do we do that? You make your life a prayer."

As reported by Closer Weekly, she has cemented her place in the television industry since the ‘80s. Aside from "The Morning Show" and "Today," she also co-hosted "Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee" for 15 years. Gifford retired from the "Today" show in April 2019, after 11 years of serving as one of its hosts.

The tragic event left the television personality devastated, and although she had children, the void in her life could not be filled. The former football star sadly died of natural causes at age 84 in August 2015. In July 2019, Gifford bought and moved into a two-story, 7,965-square-foot brownstone that she paid $3.7 million for in the suburb of Franklin, just outside of Nashville . It just so happens to be the second brownstone she owns in the town, although she has made the newer purchase her primary residence. It boasts a sprawling kitchen with new granite countertops, vaulted ceilings, a finished basement, and plenty of extra bedrooms and bathrooms for friends and relatives to visit.
